Our handknit wooly jumpers

Our handknit wooly jumpers

I finally finished Mark’s diamond cable jumper on Friday evening. It was great because the sewing up that was needed had already been done and the sleeves were knit in the round so there was only weaving in ends to do. I highly reccommend this if you are anything like me and find making up rather dull.

Saturday was so cold, although less snowy than the rest of the country, that Mark wore his jumper straight away. I had a dig around in my wardrobe and found the first jumper I ever knitted. Its so warm, because of the mohair like wool, that I haven’t worn it for a while. It’s lovely to have weather cold enough to wrap up like this.

I love the flecked aran wool I used for Mark’ cable jumper and the bell shaped sleeves on mine.

  1. Hi Jane
I love the jumper you made for Mark. Can I be really cheeky and ask where you got the pattern.
    Many thanks
